Getting Involved

Getting involved is easy - you just roll-up your sleeves and help. But we would like to build relationships, to support you in what you're doing for God, and make the journey something we can share together.

So, we ask that you come and speak to us about your skills and abilities; tell us what your aspitations are. We can't guarentee that we can make your dreams come true, or that we have a role to fit you into, but your hands and heart can certainly be part of the rich tapestry we call MCC North London.

First Steps

Relax and be yourself - make yourself at home with MCCNL. you don't ahve to be more or less that who you are here. So first things first - enjoy!

Look around for opportunities to help - even i its just putting the chairs away, or washing the dishes. Great Oaks grow from tiny acorns.

Ask one of the Ministry Coodrinators how you can help - I'm sure they would love to chat with you.

Test All things - An old pastor once commented about people rushing into ministry saying "Many were called, some just went!" - how true! Not all ministries are made for everyone - and not everyone is made for all ministries. We like to take the Jesus approach on this:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
