Hello, I'm Rev. Pressley Sutherland, Senior Pastor of MCC North London. I am originally from the US, but have lived and ministered in London since 2001. I have a particular passion for sharing the Way of Christ and creating worship experiences where life-changing encounters with the Spirit and Love of God are not only possible, but joyfully expected. I received my M. Div. degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City in 1998 and was the Asst. Pastor for Congregational Life at MCC New York.

I used to be a professional musical theatre performer before going to seminary. It was while touring with 'Jesus Christ Superstar' in the early '90s that I met my spouse, David Bedella. Together, we have agreed to 'keep life an adventure' and have found the call to Christian life-giving inclusive ministry a very grand adventure indeed. And I love being part of a 'priesthood of all believers', watching person after person find their purpose and full worth through the empowerment that comes with having faith.

When not doing church work, you will most likely find me in the garden or at a garden centre. If anyone knows of a 12-step group for plant-aholics, let me know! I am ridiculously fond of all creatures great and small, am a non-dogmatic vegetarian, and have a soft spot for off-the-wall creative people and ventures.
